THE AWESOME G4 WESTERN SPORT Weight is approximately 11 lbs depending on the leather chosen. The G4 Western Sport comes with it's own set of stirrup leathers which are 2" wide and available in short, medium or long. Stirrup fenders will need to be ordered in short or regular with extra long being a special order. The fenders slide up or down the stirrup leather to be placed in an ideal position for the rider.
Here is an interesting feature on the Western - it takes Western cinch sizing but has Dressage rigging. Girths in sizes greater than 32" will be available to accommodate the Western. Why the dressage rigging on a Western saddle you ask?... nice spread of rigging load over the whole saddle, very flat, low profile rigging, reduced bulk and weight, and optional stirrup placement bonus. Alternatively, a Western Sport may be ordered in with Western rigging rings instead of billets.
The G4 Western Sport is available in 15" and 16" as standard. The seats are generous and fairly flat - just like a treed Western saddle. Size 14" saddles can be ordered as well, but will take a bit longer for delivery, as this requires a pattern adjustment.
"O" ring placement: 9 rings altogether - 5 rings around the cantle including 1 as a crupper ring, plus 4 rings up front for a Hunt style breastplate and hand-hold strap, and 2 rings below these for those folks who want to use their Sensation Western style breastplate - which will be available in the same biothane and leather style as the Hunt breastplates.
As with all the other saddle models, bolsters may be used to adjust the seat shape/size. Request a cantle bolster for shortening the seat at the cantle, and the pommel bolster for shortening and rising the seat at the front.
Girth sizing details: Take the horses' circumference in inches around the barrel at the smallest area - just behind the withers and into the girth groove. For Western saddle seat sizing - subtract 40". Example: a horse with a 72" heart girth would require a 32" girth for the Western G4.
G4 stirrup leather & fender specs: Short leathers for rider's height 5' - 5'6" and Regular fenders. Medium leathers for height 5'5" - 5'10" and Regular fenders. Long leathers for height 5'8" - 6' 2" - order Long fenders.
The G4 saddles do not have a buckle at the bottom of the flap, as in the G3 saddles, but rather a billet strap. This is to accommodate the buckle placement correctly along the billet no matter what the length of the rider's leg. Also the rider can use any of the 3 billet straps for their stirrup attachment, making it really nice for those folks that must have their chair seat or must have their legs set well back.

G4 WESTLISH REBEL (half G4 Western Sport and half G3 English Trail)
The Sensation Westlish Rebel is one of the newest models in the Sensation line, and is actually a clever combination of two popular models. The name comes from designer Dana's daughter Samantha, who coined the term "westlish" to describe her riding style: a little bit english, and a little bit western!
"We often have riders who love the Hybrid, but really miss the feeling of those "wrap around" fenders against the leg, rather than a more english style stirrup leather."
The Westlish Rebel is a daring combination of the best of both worlds - the Hybrid base with the Seat and fenders of the Sensation Western! This saddle comes standard with G4 Rigging, but can be customized to accept G3 rigging.
9 Rings allow you to attach just about anything to your Rebel, but like our other models, you can certainly add more if desired! Seat sizes are available from 16" - 17". If you normally ride a western 15", you should go one size bigger and order a 16" Westlish Rebel.
