G3 DRESSAGE

The G3 Dressage  model Sensation came about to fill the needs of the rider who wishes to have a deeper seat with a greater degree of contact in the knee roll.

The flap of the Dressage model is straighter to be ridden with a long leg. As with the English Trail, the seat shape provides the rider with support on the upper thigh, similar to what an Australian saddle would offer, but not to the same degree. 

The knee roll is average - full with a moveable knee block attached under the knee roll. There are no visible rings on the Dressage for a clean look in the show ring. Front rings are hidden beneath the seat at the front for attachment of a breastplate if desired.

This model is best suited to riders who have a short hip to knee length, like a tighter, deeper seat or would like to ride with a longer leg in the dressage arena or on the trail. Available in various choices of smooth to grippy leathers. Hardware choices are Stainless Steel or solid Brass for the two "O" rings.

Standard size on this model would feel like a 15” Western seat or  17” - 17.5" English.

G3 DRESSAGE TRAIL

The G3 Dressage Trail model came about to fill the needs of the rider who wishes to use the same saddle for dressage as well as on the trail. It has a straight flap and a deep seat with a great degree of contact in the knee roll.

The addition of 5 rings on the back and sides of the cantle in addition to the from breastplate rings gives this saddle the name “trail”. Great attachment areas for cantle packs or water bottle holders for your convenience on the trail.

Dressage Trail G3 upgraded with a G4 Seat as an extra option

As with the English Trail G3, the seat shape provides the rider with support on the upper thigh – similar to what an Aussie saddle would offer, but not to the same degree. The knee roll is average to full with a moveable knee block attached under the knee roll.

This model is best suited to riders who have a short hip to knee length, like a tighter, deeper seat or would like to ride with a longer leg in the dressage arena or on the trail.

G4 FORMAL DRESSAGE

The G4 Formal Dressage rivals that of any treeless saddle out there for looks and comfort. This saddle really is the ideal for Dressage enthusiasts! The seat feels so deep, you will be wowed with the comfort and ease in which one can adopt a classical, long legged position.

This saddle is a certain definition for true dressage riding. The stitching lines and knee roll create a feeling of really being supported without being restrained. There are no visible rings on the Formal Dressage for a clean look in the show ring.

One of the biggest changes from the G3 to the G4 is that the G4 saddles will not have a buckle at the bottom of the flap, but rather a billet strap. The reasoning for this is to accommodate the buckle placement correctly along the billet, no matter what the length of the rider's leg. The other reason is that the rider can use any of the three straps for their stirrup attachment, making it really nice for those folks that must have their chair seat or must have their legs set well back - a really nice feature!

The hard-use leathers come in medium or long and have a buckle at the end to attach to one of the billet straps. The stirrup iron goes on first, then you attach the leather to the the ring or "e" bar, then the billet to the leather buckle which lies at the bottom.

For short riders, the Formal Dressage G4 is available with a flap 1" shorter, and comes with medium leathers to suit. The G4 seats have seat jockeys - for riders using the Dressage with regular stirrup leathers on the free-swing setting, there will be no irritation from the stirrup strap, as it will be covered over completely.

Dressage riders will also be able to use a 3 buckle girth with the free swing set up if they wish. The G4 seats are available on their own for $230.00 each. This means that for those riders who already have a G3 saddle - there will be the extra coverage (over the stirrup attachment rings or alternatively the "e" bars), and also "the look" of the Formal Dressage G4. The seats match with the Dressage G3, Dressage Trail G3 or English Trail G3.
